This is our 5th Christmas together.
I feel so blessed having this Wonderful and Amazing Family. I want to thank God for giving us so much Joy and Happiness in our lives though there are good or bad circumstances that we are going through but with God's Grace I know we can exceed our Challenges that we are facing. Thank you for giving us Strength. Throughout this year, there are Lessons to be learned. There are things that I know happens for a reason. That's why before 2015 comes to an end, all of the Good or Bad things I entrust it to God because I only trust him.
Merry Christmas from our Family to yours!
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is here!
This year's thought to myself that I'd bring my chikiting patrol to a place where there's Christmas Light everywhere to bring JOY and Excitement in their hearts and that place I'd think of is somewhere in Eastwood. But the problem is we don't have any idea the volume of people might be in there right now and also the parking space that's why it's kind of very stressful from us especially to my kids and we don't like that.
Good thing we found this place. This is what they call it Christmas House that is located in Filinvest Cainta. It's a Wonderful Place. Everyone will enjoy here especially the kids and kids-at-heart. It is open from 6 pm to 10 pm and this place is owned by Cruz Family.
We arrived here at 5:30.
Let me tour you to their wonderful house.
Hey, guys. We just went to a Scholastic Warehouse Super Sale in Pasig. When I found out that there's a Book Sale happening right now, I was so like Oh-My-Gosh! It's a very good timing 'coz I really want a new book for my little bookworm baby bears Sam and Mady. So after I read the post from Lady's Motherhood Journey (one of Mommy Bloggers Ph) I must go here on Sunday. So I tagged along with my hubby and my son, Sam.
Regarding the post, you can buy a book for as low as 20 pesos. And yes, we found that.
My main target is to look for children's book. But when we enter the store, I first found this. Though I'm aware that they also have Harry Potter, Divergent Series, Hunger Games Series, etc. in a very huge discount.
It's 5 days to go before CHRISTMAS!
From Work, Schools, Family or with Friends, Christmas Party is now on every corner as the Holidays approaching.

This is his first Christmas Party. I want to stay in their room even though parents were not officially allowed inside the classroom as the teachers were saying but they still allowed anyway.
Ilocos Sur was my father's hometown. This is where he grew up. It's a very nice place. I like the fresh air, the cold breeze especially when you are beside the seashore. Not the kind of thing when you are in Manila. A little change of environment is very healthy physically and emotionally.
Year 2011 is the year of our marriage. Many FIRSTS happened that time. This was our First Christmas together. It is also my son's Birth year. When I was single, my family used to have vacation at Ilocos Sur. We spent Christmas together with my cousins, It's more like reunion so definitely we are all having FUN.
The Anorico Family agreed to have vacationed in Ilocos Sur together with my family since they still haven't been there yet. So we took them a tour.

I miss our staycation and adventure at Singapore. How we wish we could go back there again and this time with our daughter Mady.

In this occasion, we don't want to invite a lot of friends especially those that are far away from us. I want to make my son's birthday a simple celebration with the closest family and our friendly neighbors. And we want to make it more on Filipino style Birthday Party for my son to experience this kind of birthday just like what his parents experienced when they were a kid.
I ordered this polka dots Balloons online |
After 8 years, there is A Second Chance. The most awaited sequel to the movie
One More Chance.
Warning: For those who haven't watch the movie yet, do not scroll down! I don't want to spoil your excitement.
Ola! Welcome to MomsVenture Cooking Adventure! Yey!
Honestly, I did have cravings for this one so I did tell myself that I must do this not just for me to satisfy my taste buds but for my kiddos as well.
Fish Fillet w/ White Sauce
It's soooo easy to make because you only need to buy Fish Fillet and the Tempura mix and that's it! Haha! Check out below for more details about the Ingredients and how to make the white sauce. Maybe, we'll try barbecue sauce next time for this. You may also serve potato wedges. The kids will love it. Happy Eating!
Ingredients:
500g White Fish Fillet (we choose Cream Dory)
1 box Tempura mix
Salt & Pepper to Taste
Oil for deep frying
For the White Sauce:
1 pack Nestle Cream
1 cup Milk
2 tbsp. Butter
2 tbsp. Flour
broth cubes
Salt & Pepper to taste
Procedure:
1. Clean fish fillet. Slice into strips. Season fish with salt and pepper; set aside.
2. Prepare tempura batter according to package directions, making sure that the batter stays cold.
3. Heat oil in a pan. Deep fish in tempura batter, then deep fry in batches. Cook for 4 to 6 minutes or until crisp. Drain on paper towels.
For the White Sauce:
1. In a saucepan, stir in butter, Nestle Cream, Milk and broth cubes . Mix together until broth cubes is completely melt.
2. Mix the flour in a 1/4 cup of water. Stir in the mixture.
3. Salt and Pepper to taste.
Looks like everyone has a very tight schedule whether at work or even at home to finish their errands fast before Christmas Vacation.
I have an unusual experience last weekend. Better not to talk about it. It just occupied my mind the whole Sunday though been trying hard to cheer myself up and not to think about that misfortune.
But anyway, Christmas is really getting near. I have a list to fulfill before Christmas. My son has no classes for today (Dec. 8) because of the Feast of Immaculate Concepcion. So we had a chance to do some Christmas Shopping for our Inaanak (it's one of my lists). And so we went off to Robinson's Place Antipolo.
I know that this event happens a very long time. I just want to put it on record. Can you blame me? :)
Anyway, we can consider this as a FLASHBACK.
Anyhow, way back in 2013, so much celebration to celebrate especially if you have lots of kids who's going to have birthday celebration every month! Oh-my! That's too much. We only had two kids and I thinks that's enough for us. Our little bundle of joy.
As for the title of this post, I know it sounds like so much Filipino-style but we just want to be practical. Who's not anyway? That's is how unique the Filipinos are. If you want to know the details of my Daughter's Christening at the Church please click here.
After Church, went off to the reception to Celebrate Baptism of Madely Claire and 2nd Birthday of Sam Daenel.

Happy Long Weekend! How's your weekend so far? I hope you had a blast! Weekends always spent with Family :)
We always spent our weekends in my husband's hometown at Angono, Rizal.
Our Schedule this weekend is to visit Kidzoona at SM Angono.
I had known this place from a Facebook Friend. I get thrilled and I want to visit it soon. Kidzoona has several branches. Our first visit was at SM Masinag, 30 minutes away from home. That moment I was really hoping that someday there will be a place like this near our home. And then, tadaa! It came true! :)
As always, we had an amazing time in Kidzoona. The price is very reasonable. Great amenities, child-friendly, mom friendly and the staff are very friendly.
Here are the photos we got. Enjoy!

Finally, I got chance to bring my Son and Daughter to a Kiddie Salon.
Before, we visited Cuts4tots at SM Megamall quarterly just to have my Son's hair cut. It is a kid-friendly environment which is what I really like about that Salon and they really are professional to kids because they know how to entertain them while they are having their haircut. What I really don't like is the way we go to that place from our home which is a little hassle because of the Traffic that we encounter and the volume of people there. I don't feel comfortable to bring my kids there as what we really want is a less hassle environment.
Thank Goodness I found this Salon. It is very near from our home and less hassle and most of all no traffic to encounter.
So, what does this Salon have?
November is the busiest month of the year in Angono. The people prepares for the celebration of the coming festival, the "Higantes Festival" also known as "Pista ni San Clemente". The town of Angono shows so much life in this time of the year. You will see colorful banderitas in every street of the barangays. It is held in 22-23 of November every year.
What you will see in the Higantes Festival in Angono
1) The Higantes
The face of the Higantes is made up of paper mache, mostly from recycled newspapers. They are painted and coated to make them durable. The body frame is made up of bamboo sticks, then covered with colorful cloth as clothes. Some of the Higantes are look alike of well-known personalities and anime characters.
The last time we went at Barrio Fiesta, I think, that was The year 2012 located at along Marcos Hi-way near Sta. Lucia Mall.
He is 3-years-old back then when he entered the School this year. Actually, going 4-years-old. It's his First so Going to school has never been so easy for him.
Separation Anxiety
We are having a hard time for the First Week of School. He cries so loud that it came to the point even his classmate get annoyed at my son. And of course, it really breaks my heart.

Hey, guys. This happened the last year 2014, so before this year ends, let me share some details of my Sister's Grand Debut.
I am really proud of it. Why? Because I was the one who managed all of it. It's kinda like a "Party Coordinator" if that is what they call it :) From DIY Invitation to Choosing a Reception to Catering Service to searching for the Emcee (who will host the entire party) to Buying staff we need like Prizes to be given away for the Games, to arrange the Entire Program and some surprises for the Debutante. Special thanks na din sa mga friends ng Sister ko who helped me arranged the Entire Program and also the Surprises. Oh yeah, Really. They keep their promise not to tell the Surprise we've made to my sister. Haha!

DIY INVITATION
Hello, everyone! I am definitely back in the world of Blogging! Yey! Yes, it's true. And this time, I want to blog everything. Life of a Mother. Places we visit. Cooking. Random Thought. Advises for the Newbie Mom. Events. Fashion.
First of all, let me introduce myself. I'm May Ann Anorico from Philippines. I have two kids. The older is a boy. His name is Sam Daenel, you may call him Sam. He is now a pre-schooler at the age of 4-years-old. The bunso or baby sister is Madely Claire, you may call her Mady. She is now 2-years-old. Their age gap is two years. I guess it's an ideal age gap for siblings. And Lastly, my husband's name is Jan Michael. We are both Engineers. We are working at my Father's Business. So, it's a Family Business. Although it's not that related to our course. But I guess that's okay. So we can have flexible time and all we need is a Time Management. We don't have yaya so we take do care of our kids at the same time. It's very Challenging. But we Managed. And by the way, we are also doing Business in Direct Selling so in my blog I might also post some of our products that we sell as well :)
Everyone, here's our Family Picture
